How many keyboard shortcuts are there in Logic Pro?
Logic Pro has 669 shortcuts assigned by default, spread across 23 different contexts. 152 of them fit on a single key, and 59 work everywhere in the app.
How do I show automation in Logic Pro?
Press A : it shows or hides track automation, in the Main Window as well as in the editors.
Which shortcut turns on the metronome in Logic Pro?
The K key turns the metronome on or off. ⇧K turns on the count-in, ⌥K opens the key commands window and ⌘K the Musical Typing keyboard.
How can I see all my keyboard shortcuts in Logic Pro?
The shortcut ⌥K opens the Key Commands window. The Action menu, at the top left of this window, lets you copy the whole list to the clipboard and paste it into a spreadsheet.
Can I change Logic Pro’s shortcuts?
Yes. In the window opened by ⌥K, select a command, click “Learn by Key Label” and press the combination you want. You can then export your settings and import them again on another Mac.
Where should I start?
Logic Pro has 669 keyboard shortcuts assigned. Nobody knows them all, and nobody needs to. The foundation is the alphabet : 26 letters, from A for automation to Z for zoom. Then 46 extra keys : the space bar, the numbers, the screensets. Only then come the 597 others.
Start with the alphabet, flip the cards, draw one at random, or take on the Arena’s daily challenge. Once you have the 26 down, move on to the extras. The full list is in the last question below.
